Managing Director Delay and Quantum Expert, Testifying Expert

Rob Palles-Clark is a managing director in the Expert Services practice, based in the London office. He is a quantity surveyor and quantum/delay expert with over 30 years of experience in the construction and engineering industries.

He has extensive experience of major building, civil engineering, highway, marine, railway, petrochemical and water projects throughout the UK, Europe and other international locations.

He has been cross-examined both as a delay and a quantum expert in international arbitrations, has experience of “hot-tubbing” and has extensive experience of adjudication and mediation.

Rob’s experience as a quantity surveyor has involved the precontract and post-contract financial administration of commercial projects, and extensive delay and cost claim preparation, analysis, management and resolution. He has also advised clients about best-practice procurement procedures and has drafted several procurement guides for the UK Government.

Rob sits as an adjudicator on panels for three distinguished bodies: the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Technology and Construction Solicitors’ Association (TeCSA), and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
