Richard Edwin is a Chartered Civil Engineer with more than 30 years of worldwide construction management and contracting experience in the delivery of large, complex civil engineering and building projects. He is regularly appointed as an independent programming delay expert in litigation, international and domestic arbitration, and adjudication proceedings, specialising in forensic critical path and delay analysis. Richard has also given oral evidence in arbitration and dispute adjudication board (DAB) proceedings.

His extensive experience includes identifying the cause and extent of delay and disruption across a wide range of construction projects, including major road, rail and airport infrastructure, process and energy plants, power and desalination stations, complex mechanical and electrical (M&E) services installations in hospitals and airport terminals, heavy civil engineering, oil and gas facilities, residential and commercial towers, health care, education, retail and leisure facilities.

Richard has considerable experience of various methods of contracting, planning and programming, cost estimating and value engineering. His work has also involved advising clients, architects and engineers during live projects on delay/extension of time issues and professional negligence disputes.

Richard has recently returned from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where he established the company’s first international office. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Civil Engineering from City, University of London and a Postgraduate Diploma in Laws.
