Austin Duffy is a Chartered Engineer with over 25 years of experience in the design, construction and management of civil engineering and building projects throughout Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, and the Far East.

Having worked at director level with leading international project management firms and design and build contractors, he has extensive experience acting for both client and contractor entities in the delivery of complex design and construction projects. Austin’s experience spans commercial, education, health care, industrial, leisure, power, residential and retail projects, with demanding programme and budget constraints, whilst maintaining the highest health, safety, environmental and quality standards.

His experience encompasses design and build contracting, design and construction management, delay analysis and dispute resolution, management and general contracting, project and construction management performance matters, project and programme management, risk management and value engineering.

Austin is regularly instructed as expert on project management and construction management performance matters, as well as programming, delay and disruption issues. He has submitted written and oral evidence in dispute proceedings, including the provision of concurrent evidence (“hot-tubbing”) in ICC, HKIAC, UNCITRAL, DIAC and LCIA arbitrations on several occasions.

Austin is regularly retained by both private and public sector clients to provide strategic construction management, development management, programme and project management advisory services on major capital investment projects.
